Boys will be boys

Last week was Sam's scout troop's Pinewood Derby. Sam and Rollin had a great time envisioning the car and working on it together (although Sam would have liked to finish it, or at least start it, months before they did.) Sam (with perhaps a little fatherly nudging) chose an Oregon State U. theme for his car so it was black with an orange OSU logo. It looked very cool.

There were 19 cars in contention this year. We saw some very interesting and unique creations from our scouts (and/or their parents.)

Sam's car ended up placing 9th. I think he might have been a little disappointed not to win, but he handled it very well. He is such a good boy.
